The 2026 European Sixes Lacrosse Championships is the premier continental event for the Sixes discipline and represents a pivotal milestone for European lacrosse as nations begin their competitive journey toward Olympic qualification.
The ESLC 2026 carries significant international weight, serving as the opening stage of the European qualification pathway for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, where lacrosse will make its historic return to the Olympic program.
The five highest-placing teams in Salou will secure direct qualification for the 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships. The 2027 World Championships will subsequently serve as the primary global qualifying event to determine the final field for the 2028 Olympic Games.
The championships will be contested using the official World Lacrosse Sixes format - a fast-paced, 6v6 discipline featuring a compact field, a 30-second shot clock, and continuous transition play.
To ensure optimal media visibility and elite playing conditions for all participating athletes, the tournament will be staged across two distinct competition windows at the Mediterranean Sports Hub in Salou:
Women’s Championship: November 2 – 9, 2026
Men’s Championship: November 10 – 18, 2026
