Introducing ELF's coaching coordinator team07.07.2011 The European Lacrosse Federation is dedicated to supporting and fostering the sport of lacrosse in Europe. We are involved in many projects aimed at building and expanding lacrosse throughout Europe. We now would like to recognize the people behind the developmental side of their organization. Our developmental coaches work as ambassadors of the game and on a non-profit basis, donating their free time to strengthening the level of play and knowledge in emerging regions. They run focus camps for men and women of all ages and experience levels. All E.L.F coaches come with several years of playing and coaching experience which they share with the participants. Here are a few of our key players:
Anna Sody (left) is the Women's Coaching Coordinator for Europe. She has served as key contact and coordinator for all women's camps since January after several months as developmental coach for the E.L.F. In this role, she delivered camps in Italy, Latvia and Germany. Moreover, Anna is preparing the German U19 Women's team for the upcoming world championship and coached the DSC 99 Women's team from Düsseldorf, Germany to the DLAXV Play-Offs in 2011. Anna has over 13 years of lacrosse experience which includes playing at the U.S collegiate level. She currently lives in Germany where she coaches at the local and national level.
Hill Cardwell (right) has been the Men's Coaching Coordinator for over a year. Since his start, he has run successful camps in Leipzig, Koln and Dresden. Before his European career, Hill made his mark on lacrosse as one of the key figures in developing lacrosse in Texas. He has over 15 years of lacrosse experience which includes working with top NCAA coaches across the U.S. Presently; he applies all his knowledge and resources to the Bielefeld lacrosse program in Germany. His also assisted the Germany National Box and U19 teams in 2010. If you want to have a camp for your club or join our coaching staff, please do contact Henning at coaching@europeanlacrosse.org. We would love to hear from you and are actively looking to help teams in new countries. We are also looking to recruit additional VOLUNTEER COACHES. If you feel that you would want to help new, enthusiastic teams with a g passion for fastest game on two feet, please e-mail us a brief Lax-CV and a short cover letter, outlining your qualifications, coaching philosophy and availability. Please note that our camps typically do not cover travel from outside of Europe. |
