ELF Ken Gallucio Champions Cup to be held 17-19 September in Wilmslow, England06.08.2010 Country representatives of the European Lacrosse Federation will remember that we wished to commemorate the memory our dear friend and lacrosse enthusiast Ken Gallucio. Following the very first men's ELF Champions Cup in Hamburg, the European Lacrosse Federation decided that a fitting tribute to Ken's memory was to name the league champions cup, the ELF Ken Gallucio Champions Cup. Unfortunately it was not possible for a member country to host the event in 2009, and in any event only three league champions indicated they would participate. As a result it was decided that the event should not be held which was such a shame after the wonderful inauguration of the event at Hamburg. The ELF wants to commemorate Ken’s memory in a positive and memorable way and want to have an event that is befitting his contribution to our great game. At the AGM of the European Lacrosse Federation the English Lacrosse Association proposed that they could host the ELF Ken Gallucio Champions Cup at Wilmslow Lacrosse Club Manchester. After discussion and in the absence of any other potential hosts this was agreed. It was also agreed that Wilmslow Club could take part in the event the current cup holders although they are not league champions. The dates for the event are the 17th to 19th September 2010.
