Intern at ELF – Welcome Jessica Stokhof

06.03.2008

The ELF is happy to inform that Jessica Stokhof will be doing her internship at the European Lacrosse Federation and support the organization in continuing driving and supporting the growth of lacrosse throughout Europe. Jessica (23) studies sports management at The Hague University of Professional Education in The Netherlands. The program focuses on sport marketing (including achieving government funding), sport history, event management and communication.

The work with the ELF will focus on two areas; the internship itself and thesis work. The key objective of the internship is to analyze and research the success criteria for setting up and developing lacrosse in a new country. This will amongst other things lead to a “best practice” work book for new or newer ELF countries, who seek to develop lacrosse. The goal of the thesis will be to research how to increase the popularity and hence grow the women’s lacrosse in Europe. This work will result in a concrete plan for the ELF as well as member nations to use to grow women’s lacrosse.

Moving forward Jessica will be reaching out to many of you in relation to her work – should you have any questions or needing any support within the areas of focus mentioned above, please don’t hesitate to contact Jessica on jessica.stokhof@europeanlacrosse.org

Jessica will be with the ELF until the Summer of 2008

Welcome Jessica

Best Regards,

Kristian Gotsch
