ELF Championship Rules Updated

24.10.2007

Hi Lax Friends,

As you may recall we had a vote on the update of the Championship Rules recently. The rules update required a 2/3 majority of member nations voting in favour which was achieved (14 out of 18 submitted votes were in favour of the rules update - 1 member nation voted past the deadline and 1 nation did not submit any vote). This marks a great step for European lacrosse as we now have a set of rules that much better accommodate the amount of nations potentially participating in our Championships, and also because these new Championship Rules are much more aligned with other international lacrosse competition rules.

These are the new Championship Rules.

That being said, there were four countries who did not vote in favour of the rules change. These countries submitted some very valuable feedback and the intent is that the ELF will address these points and concerns in greater detail. Those of you who submitted input will be contacted in the near future by an ELF representative for further discussion and potential inclusion of the suggestions in future updates of the Championship Rules.

Should you have any questions or comments regarding this vote or the Championship Rules overall, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,
